The Angle: Winter 2023

ACCUTE is pleased to present our Winter 2023 Issue of The Angle. In this issue, ACCUTE President Douglas Ivison and ACCUTE VP Cheryl Lousley preview our 2023 Plenary Speaker Series, which we are proud to share with ACCUTE members and other Congress participants. We are thrilled to announce that we will host Dionne Brand and Min Hyoung Song as our ACCUTE keynote speakers, in partnership with Association for Canadian and Québec Literatures (ACQL), Black Canadian Studies Association (BCSA), and Canadian Association for Postcolonial Studies (CAPS). We are also proud to co-sponsor the ACQL plenary featuring Lily Cho and the Canadian Society for Renaissance Studies (CSRS) plenary speaker Elizabeth Hodgson.

Also in this issue, we bring you an important article by Sarah Olutola (Lakehead University) on Decolonization, Anti-Racism, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Creative Writing Pedagogy; poetry by Andy Weaver (York University) and visual poet Laura Kerr; an invitation to attend the upcoming February 10th webinar, “Are Canadian Universities Doing Enough to Support Outspoken Racialized Faculty?” and, as always, Member News. Please enjoy, and let us know what you think!
