ACCUTE 2023 Conference
Delivery Mode Update
Here at ACCUTE HQ we’re busy planning for our return to the first in-person Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences since 2019. We’re looking forward to sharing more details about the conference in the coming weeks, including information about plenary speakers, collaborations with other associations, and other events. Stay tuned!
After much discussion, we have decided to plan for a fully in-person conference at York University. As a result, we are not planning to include hybrid or online panels as part of the conference. We do not feel that we would be able to offer a sufficiently robust experience for remote participants to justify the registration fees, and are excited at the prospect of meeting in person to share our research and creative work, socialize and network, and fully participate in Congress.
We realize that for a variety of reasons some members may have been hoping to participate remotely. We are hoping to offer a series of online webinars this year and would encourage you to consider organizing or participating in one of them. If there’s sufficient interest, we’re also considering organizing a one-day online conference prior to or after Congress.
The deadline to submit proposals to the 2023 Conference is 15 November 2022. The complete ACCUTE Conference CFP is available here. If you have any questions or concerns about our plans, please don’t hesitate to contact Douglas Ivison, ACCUTE President, at divison@lakeheadu.ca.
