The Thirteenth International Milton Symposium will be held at the University of Toronto, 10-14 July 2023. The Symposium welcomes scholars from across the world for five days of lively discussion and convivial exchanges. Plenary speakers include Achsah Guibbory, Lorna Hutson, Nicholas McDowell, Feisal Mohamed, Su Fang Ng, and David Quint.
The IMS Program Committee invites proposals for 20-minute papers on all aspects of Milton studies, from established approaches to new and emerging ones. The committee is pleased to announce that the deadline to submit has been extended the paper submission deadline to 31 July 2022.
In response to multiple requests, the committee also now invites proposals for roundtables that bring scholars together to discuss a central topic, question, approach, or problem relevant to the study of Milton. Topics not currently prominent in Milton studies are enthusiastically encouraged. A roundtable would feature between five and eight participants. A useful guide to the conventions and best practices of a roundtable can be found on the RSA website. All conference attendees are welcome to participate in a roundtable as well as deliver a 20-minute paper. The submission deadline for roundtable proposals is also 31 July.
