Yukon College’s School of Liberal Arts is looking for a student-centered scholar with a commitment to Indigenization and reconciliation in education and a passion for interdisciplinary collaboration.

This position is responsible for developing and teaching English courses, conducting research and scholarly activity, and engaging in institutional service. The incumbent will also be involved in the development of the College’s next independently offered degree program and will be expected to help develop curriculum to support it.

The successful candidate will have a doctorate or master’s degree in English or a closely related field; preference will be given to those with a completed or near-completed PhD. Previous scholarly activity and teaching experience in Indigenous and northern writing and orature will be considered assets. Ideally, applicants should also have experience teaching in the following contexts: to adult learners, in northern and/or remote communities, via distance-delivery technologies, and to diverse groups of International students.
