Job: Contemporary Literature (Algoma U; deadline 20 October 2014)

The Department of English at Algoma University invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the level of Assistant Professor, beginning January 1, 2015. The successful candidate must have completed a PhD, display a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching and scholarship, and possess teaching and research expertise in Contemporary (20th and 21st century) Literature. Teaching and/or research expertise in any of the following are an advantage: Canadian Literature, Children’s Literature, Creative and Expository Writing, Film Studies, and Indigenous Literature. Demonstrated ability to develop an independent research program and secure external research funding is an asset.
