The University of Toronto invites applicants for a joint tenure-stream position in the Department of English (75%) and the Centre for Medieval Studies (25%) in the field of Old English. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will begin on July 1, 2015.
Applicants must have earned a PhD by July 1, 2015 or shortly thereafter, with a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and research. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The Department of English and the Centre for Medieval Studies offer the opportunity to teach and to conduct research in units that are committed to studying both medieval culture and English language and literature in historical depth and geographical range.
