The next ACCUTE conference will be held 30 May – 2 June 2025 at George Brown College (GBC) in Toronto as part of the annual Congress of the Social Sciences and Humanities associations.
ACCUTE 2025 is shaping up to be an outstanding event! This year, between May 30th and June 2nd, we will have over 90 panels and 7 workshops.
We are excited to welcome both new and returning papers, and we are especially thrilled about the addition of workshops to our program. Details on these workshops, along with registration instructions, will be shared soon—stay tuned!
Equally exciting are our exceptional plenary sessions. We’re thrilled to welcome award-winning poet and translator Erin Moure as our opening plenary speaker. ACCUTE is also proud to collaborate with the Canadian Society for Renaissance Studies (CSRS/SCÉR) to host Dr. Urvashi Chakravarty. And last but certainly not least, we’re partnering with the Indigenous Literary Studies Association (ILSA) to feature Dr. Deanna Reder as our closing keynote.

Workshops
You can find full workshop descriptions and registration forms HERE. There is limited space available for some workshops, so be sure to pre-register.
We will soon send out a call for panel chairs and other preparatory information. In the meanwhile, we encourage all members to please register for the Banquet event that will take place on the penultimate evening of the conference. We hope to have a great crowd there, where we can share a meal together, and engage in some historical menu puzzle games that will be led by literature and food scholar Nathalie Cooke (McGill U).
