SURVEY: THE PLANNING OF ACCUTE 2026

Dear Members (past and present),

Following the latest announcement from Federation that Congress 2026 will not have an in-person host at which associations can gather and organize their conferences, the ACCUTE Board has met to discuss how we would like to approach next year’s conference, ACCUTE 2026.

Prior to the news received from Federation, we had already been discussing the possibility of integrating a virtual conference into our rotation every second or third year to lessen the carbon footprint of our association gatherings, so this may be an opportunity to begin that process. That said, we also feel that we have begun to regain some momentum following the cancellation of the 2024 conference and so may not wish to forgo a second consecutive in-person conference after our upcoming conference at George Brown College in Toronto, which we expect will be a well-attended and engaging affair.

We would like to consult you, our active members, on the question of what approach you think we should take for 2026. We will collect the answers and comments we receive and will report on them when we hold an additional discussion about the matter at our AGM scheduled for 5 pm on June 2nd, the last event of this year’s conference. We have also invited a representative from Federation to speak at our AGM about the consultation and planning process they are designing as part of their “Reimagining Congress” initiative. This will provide further information and context that may inform our decision on how best to proceed.

To help us plan for ACCUTE 2026, please take a moment to complete the following short survey of ACCUTE members.

Thank you,
