THE ANGLE: The Newsletter of ACCUTE

THE ANGLE: Fall 2024 is now available!

Welcome to the Fall 2024 Issue of The Angle! This issue marks the first Angle to be released from ACCUTE’s new 2024-2026 team out of Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, including Jason Camlot (President), Cynthia Quarrie (Vice-President), Ghislaine Comeau (ACCUTE Coordinator), Gladwell Pamba and Josie Teed (Coordination and Communications Assistants).

We have a lot to share with our readers, including messages and introductions from our new President, Vice-President, ACCUTE team and Board of Directors, a call for participants in our Roundtable “Teaching with or Against AI” this December, and of course our call for papers for the 2025 Congress for new applicants who were not previously accepted to Congress 2024. We are looking forward to receiving your applications!

Many thanks to Anna Guttman and Rajarshi Banerjee, who have provided updates and reports from the Canadian Association of Chairs of English (CACE) and the Graduate Student Caucus, respectively. We are also very excited to publish creative works from our wonderful and talented writers at Concordia University, including Stephanie Bolster, Gillian Sze, and Sina Queyras.

We have big plans for The Angle going forward. Keep an eye out for our special issues with a focus on AI, pedagogy, and other topics of interest to the members of ACCUTE. We are also looking forward to the ACCUTE/BIPOC as initiated by Chinelo Ezenwa.

This issue was produced by Josie Teed (managing editor and designer) with editorial assistance from Jason Camlot, Cynthia Quarrie, Ghislaine Comeau and Gladwell Pamba.
