Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Theatre (Theatre Studies)
Term: August 1, 2017 to May 31, 2018 (10 months)

The Fountain School of Performing Arts (FSPA) at Dalhousie University invites applications for a ten-month 50% full-time limited-term appointment, at the rank of Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Theatre (Theatre Studies), commencing August 1, 2017. The position is subject to budgetary approval.

Applicants should be qualified to teach in the following areas: Dramatic Literature, Theatre History, Dramatic and Critical Theory, and/or Dramaturgy. The responsibilities include teaching the equivalent of two full classes in Theatre Studies. The qualifications required for this position are:

  • PhD in Theatre, Drama, or related field;
  • Teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
  • Evidence of teaching ability is considered an asset.
