Lecturer, English Literature
Start date: August 1, 2017; 9 ½ month contract
POSITION SUMMARY
Ambrose seeks a qualified instructor to fill a lecturer position for 2017-2018. The successful candidate will have expertise in the following areas:
writing and composition;
introduction to literature;
Canadian literature.
Experience in teaching Romantic and Twentieth-Century literature is also desirable.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Hold or be in near completion of a PhD in English
Teaching experience at the undergraduate level
Additional Information
Teaching load is five courses.
Research is supported through annual professional development funds and other programs.
Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience.
Ambrose Faculty Members agree to uphold and sign the University’s Statement of Faith upon initial appointment and to govern the conduct of their teaching in accordance with that same standard.
Employment is contingent upon satisfactory criminal background check and academic transcripts.
In accordance with Canadian immigration requirements, priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
