Victoria College in the University of Toronto invites applications for a one-year contractually limited term appointment in the area of comparative literature and critical theory with specialization in Early Modern studies. This appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, and will begin on July 1, 2017.
Applicants must have a completed PhD in literature or a closely related field, with demonstrated scholarly expertise in critical theory and in Early Modern studies. The successful candidate will have relevant teaching experience and a record of excellence in undergraduate teaching as demonstrated by the teaching dossier, evaluations, and letters of reference.
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses at all levels in Victoria College academic programs, including the Literature & Critical Theory program and the Renaissance Studies program. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
