The Department of English in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Regina invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of assistant professor. The anticipated date of commencement is 1 July 2015.The Department of English offers comprehensive undergraduate, honours, and M.A. degrees in English literatures and creative writing. The Department seeks a scholar to contribute breadth and depth in research, teaching, and supervision across a program that balances canonical and counter-canonical literatures and popular cultures. The Department has a strong record of teaching, research, and creative work, and has longstanding ties to the Saskatchewan writing community.

Requirements
The successful candidate must have a PhD with expertise in literature of the Medieval or Romantic periods. Preference will be given to candidates who also demonstrate strong secondary research and teaching interests. Publications and a teaching record that demonstrates flexibility and strong student engagement would be an advantage. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop new courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
