The DHSI@Congress workshops, which run from Wednesday May 28th to Friday May 30th 2014 at the Canadian Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences at Brock University in St. Catherines Ontario, are built on the community model of the Digital Humanities Summer Institute at the University of Victoria. The sessions, facilitated by established scholars and emerging leaders in the field, introduce a wide range of Digital Humanities methods and methodologies from 3D printing to project management, from text analysis to gaming (and more!). We invite interested Congress attendees to register for any and all workshops that engage their interest.
The sessions will open with a plenary by the Society for Digital Humanities/ Société canadienne des humanités numériques presidents, Susan Brown and Michael Eberle-Sinatra. The plenary, on May 28th at 11:00-12:00 Thistle Complex 243, is free and open to the public.
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and hosts, all spots in the workshops are made available via a tuition scholarship, requiring only the payment of a $25 administrative fee for each session. DHSI@Congress has been developed by the DHSI in partnership with the Society for Digital Humanities/ Société canadienne des humanités numériques (CSDH/SCHN) and the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences (CFHSS). The 2014 workshops will be delivered in English, with plans for French-language sessions in coming years.
