Global Anglophone Literature

The Department of English at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, invites applications for one tenure-track appointment in Global Anglophone Literature. Candidates should have research expertise in at least one area of postcolonial African, Caribbean, or South Asian literature in English, and teaching competence across the field. A completed or imminent PhD is necessary.  Teaching experience and publications are desirable.

Applications should include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a 25-page writing sample, copies of recent publications, a research statement, evidence of teaching effectiveness, a statement of teaching principles and interests, and three letters of reference. We prefer to receive applications by Interfolio or in PDF format.

Subject to budgetary approval, this position, normally at the rank of Assistant Professor, will begin on August 1, 2016. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled.
