The ACCUTE office anonymizes all submissions then distributes them for blind vetting. Submissions to Member-Organized and Joint-Sponsored Panels are sent to the organizers (please see the relevant FAQ). Submissions to the General Call for Papers are sent to two ACCUTE board members, who independently perform the initial vetting, following the Vetting Guidelines provided in the general procedures. The members assess the strengths and weaknesses of the proposal and give it an evaluation (Highly Recommended, Recommended, Provisionally Recommended, or Rejected). The proposal is accepted or rejected if the board members agree; however, if the members disagree, the proposal is sent to an ACCUTE expert in the field for further evaluation.
