REDEEMER UNIVERSITY COLLEGE invites applications for a tenure-track position (open rank) in Media and Communication Studies beginning July 1, 2018. The ideal candidate will be able to teach courses in communication, digital video production, post-production, documentary film making, screenwriting, writing for digital environments, and religion and film; have a vision and a capacity to build and maintain a production unit that gives students hands-on experience and serves the wider Hamilton ON community; and have a passion for the critical study of media and communication. The ideal candidate will also have a demonstrated record of, or potential for, excellence in undergraduate teaching, and an active program of scholarly research and/or a body of professional work. Applicants must possess, or be near completion of, a PhD (or equivalent terminal degree).

As a liberal arts and sciences undergraduate university rooted in the Reformed tradition of Christianity, we seek candidates committed to teaching and pursuing scholarship within this frame-work. Interested applicants should submit a letter of application, C.V., evidence of teaching quality, a 1-2 page statement describing their faith commitment and how it relates to their academic work, and 3 letters of reference. Deadline for applications is September 15, 2017 or until the position is filled.
