The Department of English at Saint Mary’s University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of Literature and Culture of the Black Atlantic.  The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D and a demonstrated record of teaching effectiveness.  It is expected that the successful candidate will establish a rigorous research program in the field and contribute an appropriate level of service to the department, faculty, university, and community.

The appointment will begin on 1 July 2015.
